An E&B van with "Air duct cleaning" painted on its side

Every time a building’s heating and cooling runs, it pulls air through the ductwork and pushes it back out through every vent. Dust, debris and everyday particles build up in those ducts and get blown back into the offices, dining rooms and units they serve. We clean commercial ductwork across St. Louis: offices, restaurants, retail spaces and rental buildings.

Why it matters for a building

  • Less dust in circulation. What’s built up in the ducts doesn’t keep getting blown across desks, tables and floors.
  • The system works less hard. Build-up makes heating and cooling systems strain, which can mean more energy used.
  • Clean floors stay clean longer. Dust from dirty ducts settles right back onto freshly cleaned carpet.

How we clean commercial ductwork

  1. Inspect and count every vent in the space, so the estimate covers every one.
  2. Wash the vent covers.
  3. Vacuum each duct back toward the system to remove the build-up.
  4. Clean the main trunk lines.
  5. Deodorize the ducts.
  6. Replace the vent covers.
  7. Inspect afterward to make sure every duct was done.

On the same schedule as your carpets

Most of our commercial customers have us on a regular schedule for their carpets. Duct cleaning can ride along: we’ll plan it into the same rhythm, so it’s one vendor, one call and one estimate. See commercial carpet cleaning for how the schedule works.

Straight answers before you book.

How often should a business have its air ducts cleaned?

We recommend about once a year, so dust and debris don't keep building up in the system. Busy, dusty spaces may want it sooner; we'll talk it through when we look at your building.

How long does commercial duct cleaning take?

It depends on how many vents and how much ductwork the building has. We count every vent when we inspect, so the estimate tells you what's involved.

Will it disrupt my business?

We plan the work with you before we start, so you know which areas we'll be in and when. We can schedule early in the morning, late at night or on a weekend, when you're closed. Tell us how your space is used when you request the estimate.

Can you clean the ducts on the same visit as the carpet?

Yes. Many customers book duct cleaning with their carpet cleaning, so dust doesn't settle right back into freshly cleaned floors. We can put both on one schedule.

Do you clean air ducts in homes too?

Yes. See residential air duct cleaning.
