Since 1974, and it started with a dent.

In 1974, someone backed into Brian Grubbs' 1968 gold Ford Torino in the Meramec Community College parking lot.

He used the insurance money to buy a portable carpet cleaning machine, took the back seat out of the Torino to carry it, and cleaned carpets between classes. After graduating he drove a school bus mornings and afternoons and cleaned carpets in between, until he was busy enough to buy his first truck-mounted unit and go full time.

How water extraction works
  1. Find the source and check which floors and walls are holding water.
  2. Move what's in the way out of the wet area.
  3. Pull out the water with portable and truck-mounted extractors.
  4. Dry it out with air movers and dehumidifiers until it's truly dry.
  5. Restore the carpet and handle the follow-up repairs.

We use the TACT method: the right Time, Agitation, Chemical and Temperature for your carpet. Here's what happens after we arrive in your scheduled window.

  1. Inspect

    We look over the carpet first: its condition, any existing damage, and how set-in the stains are.

  2. Pre-vacuum

    Loose dirt and debris come out first, so the cleaning solutions can do their work in step three.

  3. Pre-condition

    We treat spots and heavy traffic areas with a solution matched to your carpet, to break down soil trapped in the fibers.

  4. Agitate

    Several passes work the pre-conditioner into every fiber. Without agitation, it would only coat the top of the carpet.

  5. Truck-mount steam rinse

    Hot water from the truck-mounted unit rinses the carpet back to a neutral pH and pulls out the loosened soil.

  6. Post-treat

    Any stubborn spots left get a solution made for that kind of stain, and we work to remove them.

  7. Groom

    We rake the pile so it dries standing up, soft and even.

  8. Walk through

    We inspect again and walk you through what we did, so nothing gets missed.
